This Verification & Badge Policy explains how account verification works on Tikly and how verified badges are issued, maintained, and removed.

Tikly verification helps users identify authentic creators, businesses, and public figures. A verified badge indicates that Tikly has confirmed the identity or authenticity of an account.

1. Purpose of Verification

The Tikly verification badge is designed to help users:

  • Identify authentic accounts

  • Prevent impersonation

  • Increase trust between creators and audiences

  • Confirm the identity of businesses and public figures

Verification is meant to confirm authenticity only. It does not represent endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership by Tikly.

2. What the Verified Badge Means

A Tikly verified badge indicates that Tikly has confirmed that the account represents a real person, brand, business, or organization.

Verification confirms that:

  • The account is authentic and not an impersonation

  • The identity or legitimacy of the account holder has been reviewed by Tikly

However, verification does not:

  • Guarantee the quality, accuracy, or reliability of the content

  • Mean Tikly agrees with or supports the views expressed by the account

  • Ensure that the account will always comply with Tikly policies in the future

Users should still review content critically, even from verified accounts.

3. Eligibility for Verification

Accounts may qualify for verification if they meet all applicable requirements, including:

  • Authenticity

  • The account represents a real person, brand, business, or organization.

  • The person or entity can be identified and verified through documentation or other methods.

  • Profile completeness

  • The account has a clear profile name and handle that reflects the person or entity.

  • The profile includes a profile photo, bio, and any other required information.

  • Contact or business information (where applicable) is accurate and up to date.

  • Policy compliance

  • The account follows Tikly’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other applicable policies.

  • The account has no recent or severe violations that would make verification inappropriate.

  • Public interest or authenticity

  • The account demonstrates a level of public interest, influence, or notability; or

  • The account needs verification to prevent impersonation or confusion (for example, a business, public figure, or widely recognized brand).

Tikly may request identity verification or supporting documents before granting verification. If requested documents are not provided, incomplete, or invalid, verification may be denied or removed.

Meeting these criteria does not guarantee verification. Tikly may grant or deny verification at its sole discretion.

4. Verification Methods

Tikly may verify accounts using one or more of the following methods:

  • Identity verification documents

  • Government-issued ID (for individuals)

  • Passport, driver’s license, or national ID card

  • Business registration documents

  • Business licenses

  • Certificates of incorporation

  • Tax or registration documents that confirm legal status

  • Official website verification

  • Linking from an official website to the Tikly profile

  • Verifying ownership or control of the website domain

  • Social media account verification

  • Cross-checking with verified accounts on other major platforms

  • Confirming that the same person or entity controls those accounts

  • Email domain verification

  • Verifying an email address that uses an official business or organization domain

  • Confirming that the user has access to that email account

  • Other identity confirmation methods

  • Additional checks or tools Tikly may use to confirm authenticity

  • Manual review by Tikly’s verification team

Tikly reserves the right to determine which verification methods are required for each account and may request additional information at any time.

5. Types of Verified Accounts

Tikly may verify different types of accounts, including:

  • Creators and influencers
Content creators, streamers, educators, and other individuals who build audiences on Tikly.

  • Businesses and companies
Local businesses, startups, corporations, and other commercial entities.

  • Public figures
Politicians, artists, athletes, journalists, and other individuals with public roles.

  • Organizations and institutions
Nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and other formal organizations.

  • Brands and media outlets
Product brands, publishers, news organizations, and entertainment companies.

In the future, Tikly may introduce different verification badges or visual indicators to represent different categories of verified users (for example, separate badges for businesses vs. individuals). Any such changes will be communicated through updated policies or in-product notices.

6. Verification Responsibilities

Verified users have additional responsibilities to maintain the integrity of the verification system. Verified users must:

  • Maintain accurate account information

  • Keep profile details (name, bio, links, contact info) truthful and up to date.

  • Update Tikly if there are significant changes to the person, business, or organization represented.

  • Protect account credentials

  • Use strong, unique passwords and enable available security features.

  • Do not share login details with unauthorized individuals or third parties.

  • Continue following Tikly policies

  • Comply with Tikly’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and all other applicable rules.

  • Avoid content or behavior that violates these policies.

  • Avoid misleading or deceptive activity

  • Do not misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation.

  • Do not use the verified badge to imply false partnerships, endorsements, or authority.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in the removal of the verified badge and, in some cases, additional enforcement actions on the account.

7. Badge Misuse

Users may not misuse the Tikly verified badge in any way. Prohibited activities include:

  • Transferring a verified badge

  • You may not transfer or assign your verified status to another account or person.

  • If ownership of an account changes, Tikly may remove the badge.

  • Selling or purchasing verified status

  • You may not buy, sell, trade, or otherwise exchange verification or badges.

  • Any attempt to do so may result in badge removal and further action.

  • Misleading users about identity

  • You may not use the badge to impersonate another person, brand, or organization.

  • You may not falsely claim to represent an entity you do not actually represent.

  • Using verification for scams or fraud

  • You may not use the badge to promote scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes.

  • You may not use verification to gain unauthorized access to money, data, or accounts.

If Tikly detects or reasonably suspects badge misuse, Tikly may remove the badge and take additional enforcement actions, including account restrictions or suspension.

8. Badge Removal

Tikly may remove verification badges at any time, with or without prior notice, in situations including but not limited to:

  • Policy violations

  • The account violates Tikly’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other policies.

  • The violation is serious enough that verification is no longer appropriate.

  • Inactive or misleading accounts

  • The account becomes inactive for an extended period.

  • The account no longer represents the same person, business, or organization.

  • The profile information becomes misleading or inaccurate.

  • Ownership changes

  • The account is sold, transferred, or otherwise changes ownership.

  • Control of the account moves to a different person or entity than the one originally verified.

  • False or invalid verification information

  • The user provided false, forged, or misleading documents or information.

  • Tikly later discovers that the verification details were inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Fraudulent or abusive activity

  • The account is involved in scams, harassment, abuse, or other harmful behavior.

  • The badge is used to gain trust for malicious purposes.

Tikly reserves the right to revoke verification at its sole discretion. In some cases, Tikly may also take additional enforcement actions, such as limiting features or disabling the account.

9. Verification Requests

If verification requests are available in your region or for your account type, you may request verification directly through the Tikly platform.

  • How to request verification

  • Go to your account settings or profile (where available).

  • Look for a “Request Verification” or similar option.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions and provide any required information or documents.

  • Review and decision

  • Tikly will review your request based on this policy and internal criteria.

  • Tikly may approve, deny, or ask for additional information.

  • Discretion and finality

  • Tikly may approve or deny verification requests at its sole discretion.

  • Verification decisions are final and may not always include detailed explanations.

  • You may be allowed to reapply after a certain period or if your circumstances change, subject to Tikly’s rules at that time.

Submitting a request does not guarantee verification.

10. No Endorsement

Verification on Tikly is a confirmation of identity or authenticity only. It does not:

  • Imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership by Tikly

  • Mean Tikly has reviewed or approved all content from the account

  • Guarantee the safety, legality, or quality of any products, services, or information offered

Verified accounts remain fully responsible for:

  • Their own content and communications

  • Any products, services, or activities they promote or provide

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Users should not treat verification as a recommendation or guarantee by Tikly.

11. Policy Updates

Tikly may update this Verification & Badge Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in features or verification processes

  • Updates to legal or regulatory requirements

  • Improvements to user safety and platform integrity

When this policy is updated:

  • Tikly may provide notice through the app, website, email, or other appropriate channels.

  • The updated policy will include a new “Effective Date” at the top.

By continuing to use Tikly services after any updates take effect, you indicate your acceptance of the updated policy.
