This Content Policy explains the rules and standards for any content shared, created, or distributed using Tikly services, including link pages, shortened URLs, QR codes, and related tools.

All users must follow this policy when using Tikly. Violations may result in content removal, link suspension, or account termination.

1. General Principles

Tikly is designed to help creators, businesses, and individuals share links and manage online content safely and responsibly.

When you use Tikly, you are responsible for all content you publish or share through the platform. This includes:

  • All links and shortened URLs

  • Redirect destinations

  • Files and media

  • Text and images

  • External pages connected to Tikly links

Tikly does not host most external content, but we reserve the right to monitor and restrict harmful, abusive, or illegal use of our services. We may take action if your use of Tikly puts users, partners, or the platform at risk.

2. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Tikly. You may not create, share, or promote links that lead to this content.

Illegal Content

  • Content that violates local, national, or international laws

  • Promotion, facilitation, or instruction of illegal activities

  • Distribution of stolen data, hacked materials, or other illegal goods or services

Fraud and Scams

  • Fake giveaways, lotteries, or contests intended to deceive users

  • Financial scams, including investment fraud, Ponzi schemes, or get‑rich‑quick schemes

  • Impersonation of individuals, brands, or organizations in a misleading or deceptive way

Malware and Harmful Software

  • Links that distribute viruses, malware, spyware, ransomware, or other malicious code

  • Redirects to harmful downloads or exploit pages

  • Any attempt to compromise devices, accounts, or networks

Adult Exploitation

  • Content involving exploitation, coercion, or abuse of any person

  • Non-consensual explicit content (including “revenge porn” or secretly recorded material)

  • Any content involving minors in a sexual context, including suggestive or exploitative material

Harassment and Abuse

  • Direct threats of violence or harm against individuals or groups

  • Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse

  • Hate speech targeting protected groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation

  • Content that encourages self-harm, violence, or harm to others

Spam and Manipulation

  • Mass creation or distribution of spam links

  • Links used solely for bulk unsolicited messages or spam campaigns

  • Artificial traffic manipulation, including click fraud or engagement farming

  • Misleading or deceptive redirections (for example, links that pretend to go to one site but actually go somewhere else)

Tikly may remove or disable any links that fall into these categories, even if the content is hosted on third-party sites.

3. Sensitive Content

Some types of content are allowed but may be restricted or limited on Tikly due to legal, safety, or trust concerns. This includes:

  • Adult content intended for mature audiences (e.g., nudity, explicit material)

  • Gambling, betting, or games of chance, especially where restricted by law or age

  • Regulated financial promotions (e.g., securities, complex investments, high‑risk financial products)

  • Medical, health, or pharmaceutical claims that are unverified, misleading, or not compliant with regulations

Depending on our risk assessment, Tikly may:

  • Limit visibility or reach of links

  • Add warnings or interstitial pages

  • Disable certain links or features

If you share sensitive content, you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, age restrictions, and disclosure requirements.

4. User Responsibility

You are fully responsible for the links you create and the destinations you share through Tikly.

You must ensure that:

  • You have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to share the linked content

  • The destination page is safe, secure, and does not contain malware or harmful code

  • The content complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the regions where it is accessible

  • Your use of Tikly does not infringe on the rights of others (including privacy, intellectual property, and publicity rights)

Tikly does not assume liability for third-party content accessed through user-created links. If you share or promote external content, you are accountable for its legality and safety.

5. Link Safety and Security

To protect users and the platform, Tikly actively monitors links and may automatically flag suspicious activity, including:

  • High-risk redirects or frequent redirections through multiple domains

  • Detection of malware, phishing, or other security threats

  • Patterns consistent with phishing attempts or credential harvesting

  • Unusual traffic patterns, such as sudden spikes or automated/bot traffic

If a link is flagged as unsafe or suspicious, Tikly may:

  • Disable or block access to the link

  • Display a warning or interstitial page to visitors before they proceed

  • Temporarily suspend the associated account while we review the activity

  • Request additional information or verification from the account owner

We may also work with security partners and, where appropriate, law enforcement to address serious threats.

6. Content Removal

Tikly reserves the right to remove, restrict, or disable any content or link that violates this policy or poses a risk to users, partners, or the platform. This may occur with or without prior notice, depending on the severity and urgency.

Repeated or severe violations may result in:

  • Temporary account suspension

  • Permanent account termination

  • Loss of access to certain features or services

  • Reporting of illegal activity to relevant authorities when required or appropriate

Tikly has sole discretion to determine whether content or behavior violates this policy.

7. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a Tikly link is being used for harmful, abusive, or illegal purposes, you can help us by reporting it.

To report abuse:

  • Send an email to the Tikly Trust & Safety team at: abuse@tikly.me

  • Include the Tikly link(s) in question

  • Provide a brief description of the issue (e.g., phishing, malware, harassment, illegal content)

  • Attach any relevant screenshots or evidence, if available

Reports are reviewed by our team and help protect users and maintain the integrity of the platform. While we may not respond to every report individually, we take all reports seriously and act where appropriate.

8. Policy Updates

Tikly may update this Content Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • Changes in laws or regulations

  • New features or services

  • Evolving safety, security, or platform needs

You are responsible for reviewing the latest version of this policy. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
